Hardwick Hall is opening its doors for free on Saturday 13th September as part of Heritage Open Days.

Take a look behind the scenes and discover how sustainability has been at the heart of life at Hardwick since Elizabethan times. There’ll be talks about the modern technologies that are producing clean, green energy on the estate today including solar collectors and a biomass boiler.

You can also enjoy seasonal tasters in the vegetable gardens. This Green Living day, in partnership with Good Energy and the Centre for Sustainable Energy, is all about sharing what we’ve learnt at this special place so that you can have a go too.
